He is in town to do a seminar and I think to get an MMA fight. As you can see, we are bestest friends.For the civilians among you, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza ("Jacare" means "alligator" in Portuguese) is to grappling as Michael Jordan is to basketball or Wayne Gretzky is to hockey. If I knew how to do smileys in my blog, I'd be including an "I'm not worthy" one.

Val,
I heard your interview on the pod cast (OTM) and really appreciated all the information you put out about women in bjj. I am a white belt and love trainig, but I find myself asking myself a lot of the questions and answers you were asked and answered. You really helped me guide my thoughts in the right direction being a girl in bjj. I hope to someday be a purple belt like yourself, and being a female knowing that you deal with the same situations that I currently deal with, is almost comforting to know that it can happen, just takes time. I am fortunate enough to have a great training atmosphere that keeps me coming back for more and wanting to keep learning and advancing. Thanks you!
