Here's a pic of me
Ever done a kettlebell snatch? You start with the kettlebell on the ground, squat (of course), and, keeping your arm straight, shoot up into a standing position, bringing your elbow up as high as you can. Then, when inertia causes the kettlebell to kinda float in space, you punch it up above your head.
Then you repeat.
A lot.
The kettlebell I use weighs 16 kg, which is about 35 lbs. It's heavy.
Here's a picture of me doing kettlebell snatches. Apparently my form is pretty good! (The Mick Jagger pose, with my arm behind my back, is to keep me from pushing myself up with my free hand on my knee. Plus, I'm going on tour.)

I'm working on a post about the No-Gi Mundial this past weekend. It was quite a tourney. A galvanizing event for me, as you will see.

I'm sure I was one of your supportive friends who told you that you sucked for prancing around but now I'm just jealous. I went to a mma class the other day thinking that my wrestling would help me a little bit. I suppose it did a little until I lowered my body to shoot a double - dropped my hands - and then got bonked on the beak. My eyes watered and I decided it wasn't as much fun as I had hoped... or at least I wasn't as good as I had hoped. Did you ever know that you're my hero? -Dan Katz
A haiku for Val:
Room 130 joke,
If anyone calls for me
I'll be in the can
