One other thing, because I know my mom will worry...
Don't worry, Mom!
:)
Love to you and Dad.
I quit my job, sold my home, and drove around the country in the summer and fall of 2006, training BJJ, finding myself, and landing in LA. I still travel a lot and get to train in amazing places. Some of my friends are irritated that I "prance" around the world and think I "suck" for doing so.

Hey Val if you ever get fed up with your commute from Whittier turns out I am moving up to LA from SD in the next few months for a new job. Actually I have to commute in the meantime which is going to be alot of driving but we'll see how it goes. I am thinking of getting a house and splitting with roommate(s) to save cash for now ... let me know if you are interested. - Ed.
Jeez Val - when I told you to "go forth and conquer the world" following your visit to Alaska, I didn't mean, y'know, go out and conquer the world. I just read the article in the Crossfit Journal profiling your epic journey [when I saw the article title, I actually thought, "hey, I know a Valerie Worthington who is in to jiu-jtsu...I went to public school - not so bright]. Anyhoo, congratulations on your accomplishments and may you continue to Rock On as the journey continues.
Cheers - Debbie's friend Chuck in AK
p.s. I've actually changed my name to "Debbie friend Chuck" just so people know that I have friends - well, one friend. Well, one friend who spends a good portion of her day looking at womens' special parts...which is pretty cool.
